About Me

Hi, I’m Eileen.

I’m the founder of Crystolight, an astrologer, tarot reader, crystal curator, and someone who has spent a large part of her life trying to understand why people do what they do, including myself.

In 2020, I woke up from thoracic surgery with 20% of my lung removed.

By then, cancer wasn’t the first difficult thing life had handed me. Years before that, I had already lived through family estrangement, clinical depression, complicated family dynamics, and periods where survival felt like a full-time job. Looking back, cancer wasn’t the thing that changed me. It simply stripped away any remaining illusion that I had unlimited time to keep postponing the life I wanted to build.

For a long time, I thought healing meant fixing myself. These days, I think healing has more to do with understanding yourself honestly, making better decisions, and creating an environment where you can actually thrive.

A lot of what I write about here comes from lived experience. It does not mean that I have all the answers, but I’ve spent decades learning what happens when you ignore your intuition, stay in situations that no longer serve you, or wait for certainty before making necessary changes.

One of the hardest decisions I ever made was moving out with very little savings and no guarantee that things would work out. Most people around me didn’t understand why I felt such urgency to leave. On paper, it looked irresponsible. In reality, I had reached a point where staying was costing me more than leaving ever could. It was terrifying, but it also became one of the most important decisions of my life.

Experiences like that shaped how I approach spirituality today.

I came to astrology and tarot as a client long before I became a practitioner. Like many people, I was looking for answers during difficult periods of my life. Some readings helped while others left me feeling more confused than before. I realised that what I was looking for wasn’t reassurance, I was actually looking for clarity.

That eventually led me to study both disciplines seriously. My astrology work is grounded in Hellenistic astrology and formal training under Chris Brennan, while my tarot practice continues to be shaped through ongoing study with PuraSoul. What drew me deeper wasn’t prediction. It was the structure, the symbolism and the ability to understand timing, patterns, and the stories we unconsciously repeat.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of spirituality, personal responsibility, and self-awareness.

I don’t believe spiritual tools exist to tell us what to do. I think they’re most useful when they help us understand where we are, what we’re carrying, what keeps repeating, and what choices are available to us.

Whether I’m writing a blog post, studying a chart, reading tarot, or curating crystals for the shop, the underlying intention has always been the same. I want people to leave with a better understanding of themselves than when they first arrived. Life is already confusing enough without adding more noise, fear, or dependency into the mix. Most of us already know more than we think we do. Sometimes what we’re missing isn’t another answer. It’s context and language for what we’re experiencing. It’s someone helping us connect the dots between things that previously felt unrelated.

This website reflects many different parts of my life and interests. You’ll find astrology, tarot, crystals, personal essays, reflections on healing, relationships, family dynamics, resilience, spirituality, and the lessons that came from navigating difficult seasons of my own life. Some pieces are educational, some are deeply personal, and some are simply observations I’ve gathered along the way. Regardless of the topic, I try to write with the same level of honesty and thoughtfulness that I hope to bring into my readings and conversations with others.

I don’t expect everyone to resonate with my perspective, and that’s perfectly okay. Crysto.light was never created to appeal to everyone. It was created for people who value depth, self-awareness, personal responsibility, and meaningful conversations about what it means to live a conscious and examined life.

If you’ve somehow found your way here, welcome. I hope you find something that helps you understand yourself a little better, feel a little less alone, or see your next step more clearly.
